About me
¡Bienvenidos!
Me llamo Tamara y este año daré dos clases de conversación en Oldenborg.
Nací y crecí en Santiago, la capital de Chile. Santiago es una ciudad muy grande donde viven alrededor de 8 millones de personas, ¡casi la mitad de la población total! Me gusta mucho mi ciudad porque siempre hay cosas que hacer y lugares que visitar. Se parece un poco a California porque puedes ir a la nieve y a la playa en un mismo día, solo toma una hora desde Santiago.
Estudié Lengua y Literatura Inglesas en la Universidad de Chile y luego hice una maestría en Cal State Fullerton. Me encanta enseñar español y ESL, y estoy muy feliz de poder trabajar con ustedes en Pomona.
¡Me encanta viajar! Algunos de los países que he visitado son Brasil, Argentina, Bolivia, Uruguay y varios países en Europa como España, Portugal, entre otros, además de China. También me interesa mucho la práctica del yoga y pasar tiempo al aire libre.

My name is Tamara and I’ll be teaching two conversation classes at Oldenborg.
I was born and raised in Santiago, the capital of Chile. Santiago is a huge city and I love it because there’s always something to do and places to be. It’s a little like California in the sense that you can go skiing and swimming at the beach in the same day, it only takes about an hour from Santiago.
I studied English Language and Linguistics at Universidad de Chile and I got my masters at Cal State Fullerton. I love teaching Spanish and ESL and I’m super excited about working with you guys!
I love traveling. Some of the places I’ve been to are Brazil, Argentina, Bolivia, Uruguay and several countries in Europe like Spain and Portugal, in addition to China. I also really love doing yoga and spending time outdoors.
