Ziel des Kurses ist es, dass du dich sicherer fühlst im Alltag Deutsch zu sprechen und auch mit überraschenden Situationen und Wörtern gut zurecht kommst.
In jedem Kurs werden wir am Beispiel des deutschen Pärchens Rosalie und Helmut in deren Alltag und ihre Kultur eintauchen, um dir einen Eindruck zu geben, wie es ist, in Deutschland zu leben und zu arbeiten.

In a casual and supporting environment, you will improve your linguistic and cultural knowledge.
The goal of the course is to make you feel more confident to speak German in an every-day setting and that you can handle surprising situations or words with ease.
In every course, we will follow the German couple Rosalie and Helmut through their every-day life to immerse ourselves in their culture and give you an impression of what it is like to live and work in Germany.
Über mich
Mein Name ist Eva Saunders und ich starte dieses Jahr am Pomona College als Language Assistant. Ich bin in Deutschland aufgewachsen, lebe aber seit 2013 in Los Angeles, weil ich dort ich Film studiert habe. Ich habe die letzten paar Jahre als Übersetzer gearbeitet, jetzt aber gewechselt, weil ich ich es sehr mag, zu unterrichten und anderen zu helfen. Ich freue mich darauf dich dabei zu unterstützen, fließender zu sprechen und dich sicherer in Deutsch zu fühlen.

About me
My name is Eva Saunders and I am a new language assistant at Pomona starting this semester. I was born and raised in Germany, but have been living in Los Angeles since 2013 because I studied filmmaking. I worked as a translator for the last couple of years, but changed gears, because I love teaching and enjoy helping others succeed. I am excited to assist you to become more fluent and confident in speaking German.
